According to the Land Registry, 9,210 property sales contracts were registered in the first seven months of 2024, marking a 2% increase compared to the 9,051 contracts registered in the same period last year. This also represents the highest number of transactions since 2008, when 9,385 contracts were recorded in the first seven months.

Compared to July last year, the total number of sales increased by 22%, with growth recorded in all districts. Famagusta saw a 36% increase in sales, Limassol 29%, Larnaca 28%, Nicosia 19%, and Paphos 3%.

Limassol led the way with 552 sales, followed by Larnaca with 408 sales. Nicosia came in third with 310 sales, Paphos was in fourth with 294 sales, and Famagusta rounded out the list with 83 sales.

For the first seven months of 2024, property sales increased by 2% compared to the same period last year. Although Paphos saw a 14% decline in transactions and Limassol and Famagusta each experienced a 5% drop, these declines were balanced by a 24% increase in Nicosia and a 12% rise in Larnaca.
