Spyros Stadium in Limassol continues Kyprianou ”, which will become one of the main arenas for hosting FIBA Eurobasket 2025 matches. The project, implemented by A&A Apostolides , is aimed at modernizing the facility and turning it into a modern sports venue of international level.
At the moment, work is almost completed on :
- laying new parquet flooring that meets international standards;
- complete reconstruction of changing rooms and improvement of infrastructure for athletes;
- renovation of existing open areas and installation of a video surveillance system (CCTV);
- improving the sound system, including the installation of powerful modern loudspeakers;
- replacement of electrical wiring.
The next stages of reconstruction:
- Installation of giant screens and new stands for comfortable viewing of matches.
- park & ride zones , which will significantly improve logistics for spectators.
- Installation of new basketball hoops and mobile furniture that meet FIBA requirements.
All works must be completed by July 1, 2025, and A&A Apostolides is working hard to meet this deadline while ensuring the highest quality.
The aim of the project is to create not just a sports facility, but a real legacy for Cypriot sports . The modernized stadium will become an important part of the infrastructure, contributing to the development of sports tourism on the island.
