Yesterday, the mayor of Paralimni and Deryneia, Georgios Nikolettos, held a meeting with developers, architects, engineers, former officials, as well as representatives from the Famagusta Hoteliers Association and the Famagusta Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The discussion focused on the Local Development Plan for the regions of Paralimni, Deryneia, and Ayia Napa.
According to information from the municipality, the participants concentrated on discussing potential objections to the Local Plan. The current provisions of the plan were analyzed, and options for improvements and changes were considered. Objections must be submitted by October 15, 2024, through the “Ippodamos” system.
The main goal of the meeting was to engage all interested parties in the process of discussing the plan, analyze arising issues, and hear suggestions for possible adjustments.
Many ideas were proposed during the discussion, which were recorded and will be thoroughly evaluated before being included in the official objection to be submitted by the municipality within the specified timeframe.
