Kition Company Ocean Holdings completes the first major phase of the Larnaca Port and Marina development project . The construction and modernization of the pier is nearing completion, which is an important development for the city and its residents.
The restoration and reconstruction project of the historic pier in Larnaca was planned and carried out in strict accordance with town planning regulations and permits. The goal was not only to ensure the safety and functionality of the pier, but also to preserve its historical value for future generations.
Since 2020, when Kition Ocean Holdings received the right to reconstruct and operate the port and marina of Larnaca , the company took on the task of modernizing this significant area. The project provides not only for the expansion of the pier, but also for the creation of residential complexes, offices, hotels, restaurants, cafes, shops and public spaces for recreation and entertainment.
The restoration and reconstruction of the historical pier included a range of works, ranging from cleaning of various impurities to strengthening the metal structure and replacing worn parts. Work was also carried out to restore the Nautilus building, update the electrical installation and security systems, and preserve the historic crane and lighthouses.
Completion of this stage of the project will not only contribute to the renewal of the city’s infrastructure, but will also emphasize its historical significance. The history of the Larnaca pier dates back more than a hundred years, and its reconstruction is a step towards preserving this heritage for future generations.
