Hadassah Healthcare Park has once again attracted the attention of the public and experts during a discussion at the Cyprus Department of Environment. This project will bring significant changes in the fields of medicine, education and urban development.
Hadassah Healthcare Park is a multifunctional complex that combines medical, educational, commercial and residential spaces. The proposed development, owned by Osopil Ltd , is located within the administrative boundaries of the Municipality of Lakatamia in Nicosia.
What will the project include?
- Five-storey private hospital (including engineering floor).
- A five-story medical educational institution (including an engineering floor) with a maximum capacity of 900 students.
- A commercial building designed to house biotech offices.
- Student hostel with 232 rooms.
The project completion period is 24 months, barring any delays. The construction plan will be developed by the contractor and will include a detailed schedule of all stages of work.
Advantages of the project
Hadassah Healthcare Park will create:
- New jobs: about 90 employees in offices and 500 students and employees of the educational institution.
- Highest level of healthcare services.
- Infrastructure for training highly qualified medical specialists.
The project will improve the economic and social situation of the area. The complex will be located near such objects as:
- THI Lakatamia Stadium (440 meters northwest).
- Lake Maglis (650 meters to the northwest).
- Pedios River Linear Park (520 meters west).
The location within the urban development allows the project to be integrated into the existing infrastructure, while preserving the natural and social characteristics of the area.
The main goal of Hadassah Healthcare Park is to improve the level of medical services in Cyprus. The opening of a medical university within the complex will create a training centre for specialists, which will strengthen the educational sector and improve the level of healthcare.
The student dormitory will provide comfortable accommodation for students and researchers, and the biotechnology offices will help develop innovative medical technologies.
