Designers, builders and property owners are faced with the challenge of adapting their projects to new realities while maintaining their value and ensuring sustainability in an unpredictable future.
At the 18th Land Management, Engineering and Construction Conference and Exhibition, Foster & Partners senior partner Ben Scott made key remarks on this issue. He emphasized the importance of a holistic approach and understanding the changing needs of people in the context of changes in the design and use of buildings.
He cited important statistics on international tourist arrivals in Cyprus and shared the country’s commitment to achieving its Net Zero carbon footprint goals. Drawing attention to the importance of the workplace for ensuring a healthy organization, he noted that it should turn into a source of psychological comfort for employees. In addition, Scott presented data on market trends, including growing investor interest in assets that comply with ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles.
Concluding his presentation, he emphasized the importance of adopting a holistic approach that opens up new possibilities in the design and construction industry.
