The CSE posted a slight gain on Wednesday, with the overall index registering a 0.16% gain to close at 69.24.
The FTSE/CySE 20 rose 0.14% to close at 41.63. The amount of transactions amounted to almost 190,000 euros.
Of the individual stock market indices, the Hotels, Main Market showed gains of 3.12% and 0.61%, respectively. On the contrary, the Alternative Market recorded a loss of 0.51%, while the Investment Companies sector did not change.
Securities of the Bank of Cyprus attracted the most investment interest: 155,929 euros (up 0.49% – closing price of 1.03 euros). They are followed by Petrolina (Holdings) Public at €10,443 (up 0.89%, closing price €1.13), The Cyprus Cement Public Company at €5,593 (unchanged, closing price €0.62), Logicom Public from €4,257 (down 0.98%). – closing price of 2.02 euros) and Vassilikos Cement from 3080 euros (down 0.71% – closing price of 2.80 euros).
Of the stocks traded, six rose, five fell and three remained unchanged. The number of transactions was limited to 80.
