According to data released by the Statistical Office of Cyprus on Tuesday, industrial turnover reached its highest level in a month in April this year, recording a significant increase in 12 months.
In particular, in April 2022, the Industrial Turnover Index reached 161.4 points (2015 base = 100), an increase of 12.7% compared to April 2021.
For the period from January to April 2022, the index increased by 19.4% compared to the same period of the previous year.
In particular, in the manufacturing sector, the index reached 164.8 points in April 2022, up 6.7% compared to April 2021.
There was also an increase in the electricity sector by 58.4%, as well as in the sector of water supply and recycling of materials by 23.0%.
The mining sector recorded a decline of 7.9% compared to April 2021.
