Deposits in the banking system of Cyprus at the end of February 2022 amounted to 51.5 billion euros, which is 3.65 billion euros more than in February 2021.

According to the Central Bank of Cyprus (CBC), the loan balance at the end of December 2021 was 28.5 billion euros, recording a decrease of 3.01 billion euros.

According to the CBC, total deposits in February 2022 recorded a net increase of 278 million euros, compared to a net decrease of 341.8 million euros in January 2022.

The annual rate of change reached 6.6% compared to 5.8% in January 2022.

Total loans in February 2022 recorded a net increase of €45 million compared to a net increase of €107.1 million in January 2022.

The annual rate of change reached 2.2% compared to 1.1% in January 2022, the CBC said, and the total loan balance in February 2022 reached 28.5 billion euros.
