A project called Komitis Eco Village ” is under public discussion, with the developer submitting an environmental study to the Department of the Environment. This is an investment worth up to 100 million euros, which includes, among other things, the construction and operation of a nursing home, a geriatric care and rehabilitation center and a nursing school.
Building is done by Dimitris Papaevstatiu , director of CEV CYPRUS ECO VILLAGE LTD and businessman Savvas Papaevstatiu , founder of COTOPOULA COMMITTEE. The project is expected to be built on 269,685 sqm of land owned by the company that is “launching” it.
Chairman of the Public Council Pantelis Kakkulis expressed satisfaction with the necessary investment in Peristerona . “This is something we look at in a positive way, as it will give impetus and will contribute to the development of our region,” said Mr. Kakkulis , adding that such large projects, which are in fact a private initiative, are necessary for the revival Peristeronas .
“The benefits that will arise for our region in the event of the implementation of this project will be numerous and multidimensional,” emphasized the chairman of the Peristeronas Community Council .
