Tryfon Tseriotis, a company that sells and distributes more than 40 local and international brands, announced on Tuesday that it would be giving its employees extra days of annual leave in case a public holiday falls on a weekend.
The company explained that the additional days will be provided to employees in the form of leave for health reasons.
“What makes our company different is that we don’t rest on our laurels , we constantly review our existing policies and adjust them where there is room for improvement,” said Human Resources Manager Sofia Antoniou.
“We understand that modern politics is needed now, we want to work with happy people who feel that we care about them – this is a healthy work culture that we are striving for,” she added.
UCLan Cyprus professor Panikkos Putsiouris announced on Monday that he is stepping down from his positions as university rector and business school dean as his 10-year tenure at the university comes to an end.
Puciuris will now shift his focus to a number of areas, including a position at the Cambridge Judges Business School, support for the Circular Economy Center, and a series of workshops for the Executive MBA module – Entrepreneurial Family and Family Offices.
In addition, the former professor at UCLan Cyprus will also take on a partner position at Zateon Consulting, a company that specializes in consulting services, education, family business and succession planning.
The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) ended Tuesday, July 26th with a profit.
The overall Cypriot stock market index stood at 67.46 points at 13.23 for the day, reflecting an increase of 0.03% from the previous trading day.
The FTSE/CySE 20 index stood at 40.38 points, up 0.05%.
The total transaction value was 26,486 euros.
As for the sub-indices, the main index rose by 0.14%, while the alternative index fell by 0.12%.
Indices of hotel and investment companies remained stable.
Cyprus Cement Company (no change), KEO Plc (no change), Hellenic Bank (+0.47%) and Bank of Cyprus (no change) aroused the greatest investment interest.
