Work continues on the park on Paul Gauguin Street in Limassol , next to My Mall , a very promising project of the Limassol Municipality , as it is expected to improve the quality of life of the citizens.

It is the largest city park in Limassol after the Public Garden, which is called the “Public Garden of Western Limassol “.

The park will have a total area of 10,000 m2 and will include trees and greenery, landscaping, children’s play areas, event space, walking paths and will be accessible to everyone. It will also be convenient for people with disabilities.

The project was announced in December 2020.

The mayor of Limassol , Nikos Nicolaides, in recent statements regarding the progress of the park, stated that it will be open to the public within the next few months.

“The work is progressing satisfactorily and we believe the project will be handed over to the public within the next few months. We are methodically continuing to transform Limassol , modernizing public spaces and at the same time the quality of life of Cypriots,” he said.

The cost of building the park reaches 600,000 euros. The project is part of the municipality’s wider strategy to modernize the areas of western Limassol and is included in the “THALEIA 2021-2027” program, which reflects the development strategy for the use of allocated resources in Cyprus through the Cohesion Policy Funds during the period 2021-2027.
