The road to the creation of an integrated Housing Policy

The road to the creation of an integrated Housing Policy

15.03.2023

The issue of accommodation and housing is, of course, particularly complex. In recent years, access to affordable housing has become more difficult. A reassessment of public housing policy is seen as more necessary than ever.

Solving the housing issue with the help of an integrated system is a solution to a long-standing problem. Through its implementation, it is expected to contribute to the development of policies that promote sustainable housing for all income groups.

Low-interest or interest-free loans for certain social groups, European funds and national programs are just some of the measures taken by Member States in an attempt to solve the important problems that plague residents of urban centers and peripheries.

In Cyprus, the government is constantly exploring new urban planning measures and incentives that benefit not only citizens but also businesses. His senior staff member, Natasha Caspari, will tell us more about the next steps for the Department of Urban Planning and Housing. Ms. Kaspari will be attending the upcoming 17th Conference and Exhibition on Land Management, Building Design and Construction presented by Altia for a very informative and useful presentation for attendees.

Natasha Kaspari is a senior urban planner in the Department of Urban Planning and Housing. She studied in the United Kingdom, where she first received a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Civil Engineering and then a Master of Urban Planning. She also holds a master’s degree in public administration. She is an elected and active member of the Royal Urban Institute (RTPI) of the United Kingdom and holds the title of Certified Urban Planner.

She began her professional career in the private sector, where she worked as a civil engineer and urban planner. She joined the civil service in 2002 and worked as an urban planner in the City Planning Supervision and Plan Implementation Division and the Urban Planning and Research Division, in particular the Local Planning Division, which she currently manages.

In addition, she had the opportunity to represent Cyprus in the European programs ESPON (European Observatory for Spatial Planning) and CEMAT (Conference of Ministers of Spatial Planning of Europe).

The most important meeting of the Branch

The 17th Conference and Exhibition of Land Management, Design and Construction of Buildings, presented by Altia, will answer the key questions of concern to the industry. Among them, what is the future of Cyprus in the real estate sector, how is it shaping up in an ever-changing environment and what are the prospects and opportunities for the next 7 years.

The most important annual meeting of the real estate, land management and construction industry in Cyprus will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the Hilton Hotel Nicosia . Discussions, reviews and analysis of the latest developments and market trends will be organized. It also includes negotiations on the construction, design and decoration of buildings and welcomes everyone involved in the sector, combining the idea with the implementation of projects.

The leading companies of the market will take part in the exhibition area.
