Work on the reconstruction of the Coral site has begun and continues Bay Avenue in Peyia , while, according to a statement from the Municipality of Peyia , the work is necessary to improve road safety and infrastructure.
As already mentioned, during the Coral works Bay Avenue will remain closed from the intersection of Askou Street to the junction with Acanthus Street . Intersection of Lysis street with Coral Bay Avenue and Trikomou – Kolpou street ton Corallion will remain closed and become a cul-de-sac.
Mayor of Peyia Marinos Lambrou notes that this project is necessary for the reconstruction and improvement of the Coral site Bay Avenue in Peyia , removing substandard and inappropriate unlicensed structures on the road surface, enriching and upgrading functional infrastructure and constructing facilities to attract visitors.
The project, according to the mayor of Peyia , includes raising the road to the level of the sidewalks, placing granite blocks along the entire width and length of the site under construction, constructing a rainwater drainage system, installing underground housing and communal services facilities and modern road lighting.
