The groundbreaking ceremony for the TEPAK facility in Paphos, scheduled for 13 July, has been rescheduled. As announced by the Municipality of Paphos, the postponement is due to the obligations of the President of the Republic, who will lay the first stone in connection with the visit of the Austrian Chancellor to Cyprus on this particular date.
In Paphos, however, everything is ready for the ceremony when it is rescheduled, as the public tender for the construction of the school’s facilities has already been won. The municipal authorities have allocated a project to a specific Paphos company worth about 14 million euros, which is 30% more than the estimate.
The TEPAK Buildings in Paphos will be erected on the site allocated for this purpose by the municipality, within the framework of the Agreement signed with TEPAK last November, in the area of the Church of Panagia Pantanassas, where the new Municipal Hall has been left unfinished since 2014, which the municipal authorities have begun to build. Estimated costs for TEPAK projects in Paphos amounted to about 11 million euros.
The project is expected to be co-financed by the European Union under the THALEIA program for 2021-2027.
