The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides , while presenting the development strategy for the area, stressed that Limassol is proof that the country can look to the future with optimism. The total value of projects and initiatives aimed at developing the area exceeds €660 million.
Investments in development and key areas
The government’s comprehensive strategy includes the following areas:
- Support for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) . Creating a favorable environment for business, especially for technology companies, making Limassol a modern innovation hub.
- Solution of the housing issue . Particular attention is paid to the availability of residential real estate for young people, as well as the construction of new infrastructure facilities.
- Healthcare and education . Development of medical and educational institutions to improve the quality of life of the local population.
These initiatives aim to address key issues such as high cost of living, lack of affordable housing and traffic congestion.
The President stressed the importance of joint work between the state and local authorities. Only coordinated interaction with the public will allow achieving the set goals. Among the upcoming events is the holding of 15 informal meetings of ministers in Limassol within the framework of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
