The first phase of construction of the yacht marina in Paralimni is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year, the mayor of Paralimni-Dherinia announced Georgios Nikoletos during a visit to the construction site. This phase will provide 300 mooring places and the first vessels will arrive before the start of the tourist season. The project is expected to have a positive impact on the development of the area and will become an important destination for lovers of sea travel, as it will open a new official entry point to the territory of the Republic of Cyprus.
CEO of PMV Maritime Holdings , Antulis Kuntouris , told the mayor about the current construction progress. The completion of the work includes the construction of port infrastructure, administrative buildings and commercial facilities, which will begin their operations by the next tourist season.
Nikoletos noted that the development of commercial facilities and the creation of a new entry point in the Protaras area will make a significant contribution to the economic growth of the region.
Paralimni Marina project is the only such initiative in Cyprus fully financed by a Cypriot investor. The investment is €100 million.
The meeting with the mayor was attended by municipal secretary Gavriela Gavriel , engineer Andreas Genagritis and head of the department of culture and tourism Marinos Pavlikkas .
