Nearly a third of the transactions completed in Nicosia in the first quarter of 2022 were for apartments. In particular, 536 out of 1574 transactions (transfers and deposition of sale and purchase documents) concerned apartments in various districts of the region.
According to the comparative sales data of the Land Registry Department, processed by the Real Estate Registration Board, the municipalities of Nicosia (105), Strovolos (105) and Lakatamia (99) have the highest number of transactions in the first months of 2022. Next come Aglancia (83), Latsia (63) and Engomi (62). The fewest acts were registered in Agios Dometios (24).
In terms of specific areas where a significant number of apartment deals have been made, Agios Dimitrios in Strovolos with 56 deals, Agia Omologeti in Nicosia with 36 deals and Chryseleous in Strovolos with 32 deals stand out. The average value of transactions in the province of Nicosia in the first quarter was 158,703 euros.
“The Real Estate Registration Board, committed to efforts to increase transparency and provide useful information to the general public and legitimate real estate agents, will continue to publish periodic opinions to support the data,” commented Board President Marinos Kinaigiro. “Given that the demand for apartments in the capital is constantly growing, we believe that concrete data will help all interested persons, professionals and non-professionals alike, to get better information about the Nicosia market.”
