The new ski building in the Sun Valley area of Troodos is expected to attract both ski enthusiasts and thousands of other visitors.
The recent groundbreaking for the construction of a state-of-the-art ski center marks the success of a multi-year effort by the respective Boards of Directors of the Cyprus Ski Club, of which Dinos Lefkaritis is President.
The Government has supported the implementation of the project, which is expected to be a benchmark for the Troodos region, with 2 million euros and the Ski Club will contribute 1.5 million euros.

The new building, which will replace obsolete existing facilities, will have a total area of 1082 sq.m. and will include a ski rental, conference room and dining areas.
Judging by the photos, this is a stylish ski resort with modern amenities and a high level of service.
The architect of the new ski complex that will decorate Troodos is Valentinos Ioannou.
Contracts with a construction company for the construction of the New Ski Complex in the Sun Valley area were signed in October 2022.
It should be noted that all premises of the building will be accessible to persons with disabilities (PWD). The project is expected to significantly improve the region and skiing, helping to reduce the negative impact of seasonality.
Benefits of modernization
Recall that the existing ski center in Troodos has been operating since 1960, while until recently, minimal changes and improvements were made to it.
Among the many benefits and benefits of this modernization are the increase in winter and sports tourism, the enrichment of the winter tourism product, the promotion of domestic tourism, the activation of mountain communities and the assistance to their economy, the social and sports activities of youth in the mountain regions, as well as the increase in the sports presence of Cyprus at the international level.
