A new increase in construction costs was recorded in July this year. Although prices rose slightly compared to June this year, but compared to July 2021, building materials increased by almost 18%.
According to the Statistical Service, the July 2022 building materials price index reached 134.51 units (based on 2015 = 100), up 0.09% from the previous month.
Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the index registered an increase of 17.52%. For the main categories of goods, an increase was recorded in metal products (21.50%), minerals (16.35%), wood, insulating, chemical and plastic products (16.17%), mineral products (15.76%) and electromechanical products (11.90%).
