The Municipality of Larnaca has made a new announcement of a tender for the establishment of the Municipal Salina Park. The estimated cost of the project, which is expected to be a “green light” and a place for entertainment, sports, recreation and social interaction, is 2,414,000 euros.
The project may be co-financed by the European Union, the Republic of Cyprus and the Municipality of Larnaca, with payments to be made by the Municipality of Larnaca.
The Municipal Salina Park is being implemented in the context of the efforts of the Municipality of Larnaca to create and renovate new green spaces in the city, as well as in the context of the development of new projects.
Proposals can be submitted until December 16, 2022.
Center for greenery and recreation
The project includes the formation of a garden surrounding the residence of the prefect and director of police, which was renovated as part of the activities of 2014-2020, and joining the Municipal Garden of Larnaca to create a multifunctional core of urban greenery and recreation.
The complex will be created on a plot of land in the parish of Agios Nikolaos, located at the intersection of Griva Digeni and Grigoris Oxentiou avenues and Leonid Kiupi street.
The works on the creation of the park will last approximately 30 months (18 months from the start date of the project until the issuance of the Acceptance Certificate and 12 months for the period of elimination of defects).
The study of the project was carried out by the architect Elena Sofiano Olympiou, together with a group of consulting architects, who won first prize in an architectural competition to create the park in question.
Among other things, the project will include recreational areas, healthy development and revitalization of the urban environment, improvement and visibility of the site through the enrichment of existing plantings, appropriate landscaping and the incorporation of modern elements appropriate to the site, enhanced accessibility for use with disabilities, functional as well as aesthetic and quality landscaping.
In addition, jobs will be created both during the construction of the facility and during its operation.
Residential project to be nearby
The residential complex Panikkos Livadiotis Group will be located next to the municipal park Salina Park.
Ria Court 71 is located in a privileged area, on Vasileos Gheorghiu II Street, in Faneromeni, next to the American Academy, a few meters from the Municipal Garden, the Municipal Theater and the Municipal Library.
The building will have a total of six luxury apartments, each with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a guest toilet for those looking for a more spacious living space in the center of Larnaca.
The project aroused the interest of buyers, as only one apartment remained for sale.
Ria Court 71 has been meticulously designed by architects, engineers and other consultants to provide maximum comfort to residents.
