Romulus Hotel Transformation: From Abandoned Building to Luxury Hotel

Romulus Hotel Transformation: From Abandoned Building to Luxury Hotel

A large-scale project is underway on the coast of Ayia Napa to renovate the old Romulus Hotel, which has been abandoned for a long time. It is expected that the area will be transformed into a modern five-star hotel complex. This project involves partial demolition of the old buildings, as well as the construction of new buildings and landscaping of the area.

The existing buildings on the hotel grounds are in a state of disrepair. The refurbishment will involve the demolition of three apartment blocks where the condition of the buildings is the most unsatisfactory. The remaining buildings will undergo significant changes and refurbishment, and two new buildings will be erected: a spacious banquet hall and a reception area. The hall will be located on the southern side of the property, providing views of the sea and the central pool, and the reception area will be located between the two blocks, with access to the western road.

The central pool will be the hotel’s key point, with easy access from any corner of the complex. The project includes five two-story buildings with luxurious rooms. Fitness facilities and gyms are also planned, while the upper floors will house restaurants and themed breakfast rooms. The area will feature several swimming pools, including nine private ones and one public one.

The project proposed by Saga Body Therapy Ltd aims to enhance the attractiveness of the region’s tourism product and improve the area’s appearance. Once completed, which will take approximately 12 months, the hotel will not only become an attractive tourist attraction, but will also stand out from the existing buildings, improving the overall aesthetics of the area.

The Environmental Service also assessed the project in terms of its impact on the environment. Taking into account the characteristics of the site and the proposed measures to reduce emissions, control noise and dust, the service concluded that the implementation of the project does not require additional environmental assessments.
