On June 30, 2025, the largest transaction in the Cyprus residential property market took place. The Real Estate Management Unit of the Bank of Cyprus (REMU) completed the sale of Secret Valley Golf Resort , also known as Venus Rock Golf Resort , an international company Schoeller Holdings , part of Columbia Group . The deal value exceeded €130 million , making it one of the most significant in the history of the Cyprus market.
What is Secret Valley ?
The property, located between the Limassol and Paphos districts, comprises a 5.5 million sq. m. site with 850 metres of coastline , rolling green hills and a golf course with a clubhouse. It was considered the largest asset in REMU’s portfolio and was previously owned by Aristo Developers . According to sources, Scheller is personally impressed by the size and location of Secret Valley and plans to create a multifunctional resort complex here , capable of becoming a new center not only for elite guests, but also for a wide audience . The project promises to become an architectural and investment landmark not only for the Paphos region, but for the entire country.
REMU Strategy: Reducing Assets and Realizing Goals
Deal with Schoeller Holdings was not just a major success for REMU, but a testament to the effectiveness of its strategy. In the first six months of 2025 alone, the division exceeded its goals for reducing the cost of the managed portfolio.
