30.07.2024
The number of new real estate transactions in the first half of 2024 reached 7,553, which is 1.8% higher compared to the same period last year.
These figures indicate a stabilization of the Cypriot real estate market after the COVID-19 pandemic, despite geopolitical upheavals in the region and rising financial costs.
At the district level, Limassol continues to lead, accounting for 32% of all transactions, while Nicosia, Larnaca, and Paphos have roughly equal shares—23%, 21%, and 20%, respectively. Famagusta recorded only 4% of the total transactions. Notably, there has been a significant increase in real estate sales in the Larnaca region since 2022, highlighting the hidden potential for added value in this area, unlike other regions where signs of market saturation are evident, particularly in certain types of properties.
