Property sales reach €0.5bn in Limassol in Q2 2023

According to Ask Wire, in the second quarter of 2023, 1,383 properties were sold in Limassol for a total of €437.9 million.

499 apartments, 271 houses, 430 fields and 183 plots were sold in the city and region of Limassol . The cost of sold apartments reached 197.2 million euros, houses – 115.8 million euros, fields – 75.5 million euros, plots – 49.35 million euros.

Apartments

Limassol collected 26.6% of apartment sales in Cyprus. The greatest interest of buyers in the Limassol area is focused on apartments priced between €100,000 and €500,000, as eight out of ten apartments were sold at these prices. In particular, 29.9% of sales were apartments costing €100,000–200,000, 27.9% apartments costing €200,000–300,000 and 24.4% apartments costing €300,000–500,000. In Limassol, 29 apartments costing more than €1 million. The most expensive apartment was sold for 10.3 million euros.

At home

The majority of house sales in the Limassol area were between 300,000 and 500,000 euros. At these prices, 78 houses were sold, corresponding to 28.8% of the total. 15 houses were sold for more than €1 million, with the most expensive selling for €10 million. The purchase of houses in the Limassol area in the 2nd quarter of the year corresponds to 26.9% of total sales in Cyprus and 35.8% of the value.

Fields

Limassol area in the second quarter of 2023 were priced up to €50,000, with the majority of these (242 plots/lots) selling for less than €25,000. Analysis of sales by area shows that a quarter of sales come from fields of up to 1,000 square meters. A total of 68 fields had an area of more than 10,000 square meters. Limassol collected 34.6% of the volume and 46.7% of the value of local sales throughout Cyprus.

Land

The province of Limassol accounted for 28.7% of the volume and 38.6% of the value of land plots sold throughout Cyprus in the second quarter of the year. Every second plot sold cost €50,000–200,000, and the most expensive plot was sold for €5.9 million. In Limassol , 51 plots of land with an area of more than 1,000 square meters were sold, corresponding to 27.9% of the total.
