Real estate sales in April 2024 totaled 1,366 transactions compared to 1,192 transactions in April 2023, an increase of 15%. During the period January-April 2024, the number of sales documents throughout Cyprus reached 5,000. Specifically, they reached 4,963 from 4,766 in the corresponding period last year, registering an annual increase of 4%.
Limassol continues to lead the way in property sales with 440 sales in April compared to 426 sales in April last year, an increase of 3%. For the first quarter of 2024, the number of sales in Limassol fell by 7% to 1,563, compared to 1,677 in the first quarter of 2023.
Increased number of jumps in Nicosia and Larnaca
Property sales in Larnaca increased by 44% to 309 transactions in April compared to 214 in the same month of 2023, while in the first four months of 2024 they grew by 15% to 1,032 transactions compared to 898 transactions in the same month period 2023.
In April 2024, sales growth in Nicosia was 43%, with 308 transactions recorded, up from 216 transactions in April 2023. In addition, in the first quarter of 2024, sales documents in the capital increased by 42%, reaching 1,121 against 790 in the first quarter of 2023.
Property sales in Paphos fell by 13% to 252 in April this year, compared to 290 in April last year, while in the January-April 2024 period they fell by 11% to 1,026, compared with 1,159 transactions in the corresponding period last year.
In April 2024, property sales in Famagusta increased by 24%, with 57 property sales being registered, compared to 46 transactions in April 2023. But in the first four months of the year, property sales in Famagusta fell by 9% to 221 transactions, compared with 242 transactions in the corresponding period in 2023.
