Property sales continued to rise in June, registering growth again both this month and the first half of the year as a whole.
In June this year, 1,397 sales documents were filed, up from 1,173 in June last year, representing a 19% increase. Between January and June 2023, 7,689 sales documents were filed, compared to 6,263 in the same period last year, representing an increase of 23%.
Limassol maintains its lead in sales, with 444 property sales in June 2023 compared to 391 in June 2022, with an increase of 14% and in the first half of the year sales increased by 25% to 2676 compared to 2149 in the first half of last year.
The biggest increase is registered in Paphos
In June this year, Paphos recorded a 40% increase in sales, reaching 316 compared to 225 in June last year. For the first half of 2023, there are 1,776 sales documents in Paphos instead of 1,305 for the corresponding period last year, with a growth of 36%.
In Nicosia, 312 sales filings were filed in June compared to 264 in the corresponding month last year, representing an increase of 18%, and in the first half of the year, sales rose by 3% to 1416 compared to 1378 in the corresponding period of 2022.
Property sales in Larnaca increased by 14% in June this year, reaching 258 compared to 226 in June last year. In the first six months of 2023, 1,451 sales documents were filed in Larnaca, compared to 1,122 in the same period in 2022, up 29%.
Freehold Famagusta property sales remained unchanged at 67 in June this year, while for the first half of 2023, sales documents increased by 20% to 370, compared to 309 in the first half of 2022.
