The building materials price index for October 2022 recorded an increase of 14.26% compared to the same month of the previous year.
According to the Statistical Office of Cyprus, the largest increase compared to last year was recorded for metal products (16.74%), minerals (13.52%), mineral products (13.39%), wood products, insulation materials , chemicals and plastics (12.91%) and electromechanical products (11.72%).
The index in October 2022 reached 134.72 units (base year 2015 = 100), recording a slight increase of 0.12% compared to the previous month.
For the period from January to October 2022, the building materials price index recorded an increase of 18.30% compared to the corresponding period in 2021.
