Paralimni Marina is taking shape, according to schedule, the project will be fully completed in the summer of 2024, with the first part ready at the end of 2023.
An agreement to develop this €100 million investment was signed in 2017 between the Ministry of Energy, Trade, Industry and Tourism and PMV Maritime holdings ltd . It is expected that the project will give an additional impetus to the development of free Famagusta , making a significant contribution to the modernization of the tourism product and, in general, to the promotion of maritime tourism in Cyprus.
Nicolaides & Kountouris metal company Ltd , one of the project’s contributors, recently posted pictures on their social media showing the progress of the work.
Once completed, Paralimni Marina will be able to accommodate 300 boat berths. However, with the completion of the first phase of the project at the end of 2023, the marina will be able to hold 150 boats. It will also consist of 195 residential units, most of which are apartments, as well as 27 commercial premises such as restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. In the first phase of the project, a total of 44 residential units and a commercial area will be commissioned. It should be noted that Ferretti The Group will open offices in various areas of Cyprus and will be headquartered in the port of Paralimni .
The group includes all luxury yacht brands such as Feretti Yachts , Riva , which is called a marine Ferrari , Pershing Yachts and Itama Yachts .
Other marinas in Cyprus currently include Limassol Marina , St. Raphael , Ayia Napa Marina and Larnaca Marina in Larnaca which however is under renovation.
Meanwhile, in addition to the Paralimni jetty , the island will have another new jetty at Latsi , a project scheduled to start in 2024 and finish in 2026.
Marinas in Cyprus have attracted the interest of foreign investors who have contributed to the development of grandiose projects. It is expected that in a few years at least seven marinas will appear on the island.
