Announcement of a competition to attract consultants to prepare documents for the Paphos project Marina has been delayed until mid-September due to a series of delays and complications.
George Mace , president of the Paphos Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( EBE ), said the delay in the marina project was due to problems with documents submitted for legal review. At the initial announcement of the competition, expected in early August, problems arose with the documents sent for evaluation by the Legal Service, which necessitated their revision.
Mais noted that the necessary corrections were made, and the revised documents were resubmitted to the legal service. They are expected to be ready in September. This delay in the pier construction project added to the frustration of both EBE Paphos and the city’s various stakeholders.
Regarding the expectations of the EBE and the Paphos business community, Mais said their concerns about the development structure had been addressed. He confirmed that the competition will be conducted using the best offer technology and that interested investors will be invited to participate under the conditions set out in the announcement.
