Foreign companies operating in the technology sector are expected to rent the first two floors of Nicosia city Center (NCC), the construction work of which has already been completed, and it remains to make only the configuration of the interior construction.
Recall that the company-owner of PCMK Holdings Ltd has reached an agreement in principle with the state on the sale of the building to cover the housing needs of utilities.
However, as a result of the delay that occurred in the conclusion and contract due to objections raised by the Audit Service, and which even led to the crossing of the relevant fund by the Parliamentary Finance Committee, PCMK Holdings Ltd withdrew its share. and proceeded to conclude a long-term lease agreement for the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th floors of the building to foreign tech giant Wrike.
The director of PCMK Holdings Ltd, Polis Kurousidis, stated that the project was completed and indicated that work is currently underway on the internal configuration of floors 3-6, where the said company will be located.
According to Mr. Kurusidis, the goal is to complete the work by the end of July and hand it over to the tenants on August 1st. “These are very specialized needs as we are talking about a technology company,” he said.
Asked what will happen next with the 1st and 2nd floors of the building, Mr. Kourosidis said that negotiations are underway with various companies interested in housing in the NCC, which are also active in the technology sector.
“We are negotiating with foreign technology companies and we believe that by the end of August or the beginning of September we will finish,” he stressed.
The Nicosia City Center is located at the intersection of Kallipoleos and Ethniki Frouras Streets in Nicosia and, as mentioned above, was originally intended to be purchased by the State to house the Nicosia Outpatient Clinics, the Dental Services Department, the Company Registration Department, and the office of the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy.
