New increase in the House Price Index in the second quarter of 2022

The House Price Index (HPI), compiled by the Statistical Office, rose for the second quarter in a row, showing an increase in the cost of buying a home.

In particular, according to the preliminary estimate of the Statistical Service, the CPI for the second quarter of 2022 is estimated at 106.35 units against 103.95 in the previous quarter.

Compared to the first quarter of 2022, the CPI increased by 2.3%, and compared to the corresponding quarter of 2021, by 2.0%.
