In July 2022, total deposits reached €51.2 billion and total loans reached €28.6 billion, representing a net decrease compared to June. This is evidenced by data on deposits and loans from monetary and financial institutions included in the August 2022 edition of Monetary and Financial Statistics, published on Friday by the Central Bank of Cyprus.
Total deposits in July 2022 recorded a net decrease of €183.9 million compared to a net increase of €352.5 million in June 2022. The net decrease represents transactions only and does not include changes due to reclassifications, exchange rates and other adjustments.
The annual growth rate was 1.3% compared to 1.7% in June 2022.
Total loans in July 2022 recorded a net decrease of €162.7m compared to a net increase of €109.9m in June 2022. The annual growth rate was 1.9% compared to 2.9% in June 2022.
