Medochemie is “greening” and upgrading the Agios Athanasios industrial complex

Agios industrial area Athanasios in Limassol is being modernized and “greened” with the creation of a public park, square and footpath, as well as parking spaces.

In particular, the Environmental Protection Agency approved the development of the proposed project with an estimated cost of 2,770,000 euros.

The development in question was developed by the Cypriot pharmaceutical company Medochemie and proposed by the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry for implementation by the company in cooperation with the Agios City Hall Athanasios and the Association of Industrialists of the indicated industrial zone.

It is noted that the cost of setting up will be fully covered by Medochemie .

What will the project include?

Оf the park will be 19,953.47 sq.m. It will include the following:

  • of 5,717.45 sq.m. and with a capacity of 146 cars.
  • Public parking with a total area of 286.30 sq.m. and a capacity of 185 cars.
  • Covered premises with a total area of 122.16 sq.m.
  • Green zone with a total area of 10,684.77 sq.m.
  • Pedestrian path with a total area of 2,050.20 sq.m.

Where is he located?

The proposed development is located in the state industrial zone of the municipality of Agios Athanasios . Particularly in the parish of Agios Stylianos in a block with a total area of 25,459 sq.m.

Objectives of the proposed project

The aim of Medochemie in implementing the proposed project is to create a park and green space for the users of the area and the wider community of Agios Athanasios .

In addition, the main goal is to improve the parking services in the industrial area of Agios Athanasios , mainly for the use of related businesses, and to avoid uncontrolled parking of vehicles in it.

Estimated project implementation period is 12 months after the issuance of the relevant permits.
