In Paralimni, next to the town hall, a multi-level parking lot is being built to relieve congestion in the city center

In the Paralimni – Deryneia area, an important infrastructure project is underway: the construction of a multi-level parking garage, which will be located on Antonis Street. Papadopoulou , next to the city hall. This project aims to significantly improve transport accessibility to the city center and create convenient conditions for residents and visitors.

Construction is proceeding according to the established schedule. Work is proceeding at an intensive pace, with the goal of completing the project within 18 months from its start in March of this year. Concreting of the retaining walls and basement columns is currently underway.

The total cost of the project is €6,762,520. Financing is provided jointly by the Department of Urban Planning and Housing, which is covering five-sixths of the costs as part of the Urban Infrastructure Development Program.

According to the mayor of the Paralimni – Deryneia district Georgios Nikolettos said the new parking lot will be a significant step in urban development. He emphasized that this facility will effectively address the shortage of parking spaces in the city center, increase traffic to retail outlets, and reduce traffic congestion in key areas.

The multi-level parking lot will span three floors and accommodate up to 296 vehicles. Of these, 17 spaces will be accessible, and three will be specially equipped for charging electric vehicles. An elevator will also be included, providing convenient access to all levels.
