As a result, the euro area recorded a deficit of 140.4 billion euros during this time, compared to a surplus of 100.6 billion euros in January-June 2021.
According to a report from the Statistical Office of Cyprus (Cystat), the number of registered rental cars has outperformed the trend compared to private cars, marking an upward trend over the past seven months.
According to the report, car rental in Cyprus has roughly doubled during this time, up 86.2% year on year.

In terms of sub-indices, the main index and the investment company index rose by 0.89% and 1.51%, while the hotel and alternative indexes remained stable.
Bank of Cyprus (+1.85%), Demetra (+1.6%), Logicom (-1.18%), Hellenic Bank (+0.68%) and Woolworth Cyprus Properties (no change) attracted the highest investment interest .
