The Berengaria Historic Complex has entered a major phase of its renovation—the building’s roof is being completely replaced, returning it to its original architectural appearance. This phase is considered one of the most crucial in the revitalization of this iconic landmark, which holds particular significance for the mountainous region of Cyprus.
The work is being carried out by bbf, preserving the authenticity and respecting the historical heritage of Berengaria. The project’s goal is to restore the complex to a state that will allow it to once again become a regional landmark, as it was for much of the last century.
According to project management, the main work to complete the reconstruction is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2026. Full completion of the project is expected in the first half of 2029.

The implementation of Berengaria, as well as the launch of additional projects nearby, should contribute to the growth of tourist activity and the overall attractiveness of the area.

The project includes not only the restoration of the historic building but also the development of residential properties. The concept envisions residential units located in a forested area, creating a rare combination of natural surroundings and architectural value. The existing hotel is also planned for renovation, which, upon completion, will operate as a luxury hotel.
The revival of Berengaria is seen as a significant contribution to the preservation of Cyprus’s architectural heritage and the development of mountainous areas with high tourism and investment potential.
