Cyprus President Nikos Christodoulides said on Wednesday that housing issues, especially for young people, were a key priority for his administration. He said important decisions would be taken to strengthen the country’s image, reputation and credibility, with a particular focus on fighting corruption and ensuring compliance with the law.
The meeting discussed three bills adopted to create the “National Sanctions Implementation Authority”. The bills were prepared by a specialized foreign company and are aimed at creating a transparent and reliable mechanism for implementing restrictive measures.
The President noted that there are currently seven housing programs in Cyprus, which are constantly being assessed and modified. In particular, changes have been made that will allow more areas to be included in the housing programs and reduce the minimum land area requirements. Thus, the number of potential beneficiaries will be increased.
