In August 2024, the ten most expensive property transactions in Cyprus totalled €20.9 million, according to data from Ask Wire . The largest transaction is the sale of a house in the Ayos area Tychonas , Limassol , for 5.4 million euros.
Four out of ten transactions were made in Limassol and the same number in Paphos. The rest were in Nicosia and Larnaca . The total value of the properties sold in Limassol was €10.3 million, in Paphos – €7.5 million, in Nicosia – €1.7 million, and in Larnaca – €1.25 million.
According to Ask Wire , the top 50 transactions in August, 10 from each district, totalled €45.6 million. Limassol led the way, accounting for 32.9% of the total, while Paphos accounted for 27%. Larnaca contributed 17.3% with a total of €7.9 million, just ahead of Nicosia with €6.6 million. In the Famagusta district , the top 10 properties sold for a total of €3.8 million.
Pavlos Loizu , CEO of Ask Wire , noted: “In August we see a continuation of the trend seen in July, with residential properties making up a significant proportion of property transactions. There is also strong interest in land purchases, indicating growing demand for new builds in the future. The Limassol and Paphos areas continue to dominate luxury property transactions, while Nicosia and Larnaca are reporting lower volumes for the second month in a row compared to June.”
