Hellenic Bank announced its decision to eliminate negative interest rates on non-household euro accounts starting from 03/10/2022. From that date, the interest rate on non-household checking, savings, and notice accounts will be set to zero.
The decision was made in the light of changing market conditions and the recent decision by the European Central Bank (ECB) to raise the ECB’s key interest rates, which will ensure a timely return of inflation to the ECB’s medium-term target of 2%.
