Harmonized inflation rose to 9.1% in Cyprus in June compared to June last year, setting a new all-time high, helped by rising energy prices.
According to Eurostat’s operational estimate, annual inflation in the Eurozone was 8.6% in June from 8.1% in the previous month.
In terms of components, the share of energy rose to 41.9%, followed by food and tobacco at 8.9%, non-energy manufactured goods at 4.3%, and inflation in services eased marginally to 3.4% (vs. from 3.5% in May).
According to Eurostat, core inflation (excluding energy and raw food) was 4.6% from 4.4% in May, and excluding energy, food and tobacco – 3.7% from 3.8% in May.
