Some useful information you need to know when buying property in Cyprus.
A new building under construction (apartment, maisonette, shop) or building plot cannot be registered and cannot have a registration certificate (title document). For registration, a certificate of completion and a certificate from the competent building authority must be issued. If the construction/development of the facility or development of the site is completed, but the certificate of registration has not been issued, you should find out why this happened.
Once you have completed your research and made a final decision to purchase a property, and there are no financial or other outstanding issues, you must immediately issue a property certificate or registration in your name.
If you decide to buy a property, but there are financial or other unresolved issues, it is recommended to proceed with the conclusion and signing of a real estate sale contract with the seller, which you must enter in the register.
