A large scale mixed use project is under development in the Agia Fyla area of Limassol . The goal of the project is to turn the area into a hub for innovation and business. The developers of the project worth 856 million euros envisage the creation of world-class educational institutions and the leading infrastructure of a business park.
According to reports, the ambitious project was developed by Rofeno Properties Ltd. based in Nicosia.
A detailed Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study was the subject of public comment by the Department of the Environment this week. The entire project covers an area of 949,916 m2 with a total building area of 350,785 m2.
The complex will also include integrated residential development surrounded by green parks and supporting social, recreational and spatial infrastructure.
The project also plans to build a private school, a European-brand medical and rehabilitation center supporting a range of facilities for the elderly, and a research and innovation centre.
Sports facilities include a 600-seat football stadium and eight tennis courts to be used by the academy, volleyball and basketball courts, and an Olympic-sized swimming pool.
According to the plans, the construction of the proposed project will be carried out in stages and will be completed by 2030.
The school will be built in two stages, the first stage is planned to be completed by September 2024. The school will also have a kindergarten, primary and secondary education with a total capacity of 2,000 students and 256 employees.
The residential complex will include 1,752 units of various sizes (apartments with 1-4 bedrooms, townhouses with 3 and 4 bedrooms) and a hotel.
