The Paralimni-Dherinia area is actively developing infrastructure for underwater tourism, aiming to strengthen its status as one of the most attractive diving destinations in the Eastern Mediterranean.
In cooperation with the Department of Fisheries, the Municipality of Paralimni-Dherinia has begun updating the information signs in the artificial reef areas. These steps are aimed at making the underwater routes more accessible and easier to explore.
In addition, work is underway to create an innovative and practical guide to diving tourism. The publication will present all the key dive sites, as well as detailed information on the underwater activity opportunities in the region. This guide will be a useful tool for both professionals and tourists interested in diving.
In parallel with the updating of information signs, a project is being prepared to improve access to diving sites. The plans include the gradual creation of modern and aesthetic information structures that will help guests navigate more easily and use the underwater infrastructure of the area more comfortably.
According to the district mayor Georgios Nicolettos, all these initiatives are aimed at improving the quality of visitor experience and promoting specialized tourism. Underwater tourism is seen as a strategic direction that can attract new tourists and strengthen the economic potential of the region.
