In a ranking of residential programs for 2024 published by Henley & Partners , Cyprus, with a score of 59 out of 100, ranks 12th. The index includes residency programs in 26 countries and takes into account 10 factors, including reputation, quality of life and investment requirements.
First place is occupied by Portugal, which scored 75 points out of 100. Second place is shared by Austria and Greece, both countries scored 73 points. Switzerland is in third place with a score of 72 points. Fourth place is shared by Italy and Great Britain, both scoring 71 points. Canada and Spain share fifth place with a score of 69 points.
Cyprus’ Residence by Investment program is in 12th place with a score of 59, followed by Latvia with 58 points and Malaysia with 50 points. Mauritius and Namibia are tied for last place with a score of 49 points.
