The budget deficit of Cyprus reached 408 million euros in 2021, and the budget debt corresponded to 101% of GDP, the Statistical Office of Cyprus (Cystat) said on Friday.
Announcing the financial results for 2021, which have been checked and verified under the European Commission’s Excessive Deficit Procedure, the Statistical Office said the budget deficit was 408 million euros, corresponding to 1.7 percent of GDP.
Finally, the fiscal debt of Cyprus, which amounted to 24.2 billion euros, corresponds to 101% of GDP.
