The building materials price index rose by 2.88% in January 2020, five consecutive monthly increases were recorded.
The Statistical Office of Cyprus has published data showing that the building materials price index for January 2021 rose to 103.89 units (2015 base year = 100.00). An increase of 1.67% compared to the previous month is recorded, five consecutive monthly increases were noted.
Relative to the same month of the previous year, the index growth by 2.88%. Across the main product categories, there has been an increase in metal products (8.39%), electromechanical products (1.68%), wood products, insulation materials, chemicals and plastics (0.49%), minerals (0.27%) and mineral products (0.13%), according to Cystat.
