Cypriot passport in fourteenth place

Cypriot passport in fourteenth place

28.06.2022

According to the 2022 Henley Passport Index, the Cyprus passport ranks fourteenth out of 227 countries in the world.

The index is an initial authoritative ranking of all the world’s passports according to the number of destinations that their holders can go to without a prior visa. The index is based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

According to the Index, the Cypriot passport gives its holder access to 176 visa-free destinations, from Albania in Europe to Zimbabwe in Africa.

The joint first place is occupied by the passports of Japan and Singapore, which provide their holders with access to 192 destinations. Equally fifth is the United Kingdom, which, along with France, Ireland and Portugal, provides its passport holders with visa-free access to 187 countries.

In last place, unsurprisingly, is Afghanistan, which provides its passport holders with visa-free access to 26 countries.
