Building materials prices in March 2022 continued the upward trend of the past 14 months, with the corresponding indicator increasing by 19.08% compared to the corresponding month of 2021.
According to a press release from the Statistical Office of Cyprus, the building materials price index for March 2022 reached 125.65 units (base year 2015 = 100), recording an increase of 2.22% compared to the previous month. Compared to the same month of the previous year, the index recorded an increase of 19.08%.
For the main product categories, an increase was recorded in metal products (31.60%), wood products, insulating materials, chemicals and plastics (20.87%), electromechanical products (14.79%), minerals (7.38%) and mineral products (6.68%).
