The Cyprus Construction Materials Price Index continued to rise in February, reflecting rising costs incurred by contractors.
According to data published by the Cypriot Statistical Office (Cystat), the material price index for February 2022 reached 122.92 units (2015 baseline = 100), recording an increase of 1.44% compared to the previous month and an increase of 17 .39% compared to the corresponding period last year.
In the main product categories, an increase was recorded in metal products by 27.15%, wood products, insulation materials, chemicals and plastics by 19.88%, electromechanical products by 15.82%, mineral products by 7.20% and minerals by 5.88%.
